About the Artist
My name is Grace Guillebeau, I am an artist originally from Wilmington, Delaware. I attended the University of Delaware and studied Elementary Education. During my time at UD I resided in San Francisco for an undergraduate residency program at the San Francisco Art Institute. Currently, I share my passion with young as an Art Educator at McKean High School.
I’ve spent my life decorating, customizing and beautifying everything I own, from my field hockey stick to notebooks and clothing. Always striving to make my world unique. In 2006, a friend asked if I could design her some “party shoes.” Excitedly I brought out my sharpies and paints to make my first pair and Beaus began. Over 16 years and 100 pairs, the shoes have evolved into a statement piece all about you. No theme or request is too unique or out there. You are the real creator in the process.
Although sneakers are a focal point in my designs, all of my work is customer based. I make my work to please the requests of my clients and tell a story about them. I have worked with many individuals and businesses creating menu boards, logos, graphics and murals as well as custom made furniture and different side projects.
